Prof. Sam Kim Ph.D

Hongkong Polytechnic University

He is currently a Professor in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is one of the most prolific authors in the tourism and hospitality field. He has served on the editorial board of multiple international journals. His research interests include destination marketing, festival/event/convention, tourism impacts, and consumer behavior issues. He was a President of APacCHRIE (2021-2022 term) and now an Immediate Past President (2022-2023 term).

Dr. Sergio Alvarez

University of Central Florida

He is a natural resource economist researching how natural resources and the environment contribute to human well-being through the provision of ecosystem services such as food, recreation, and protection from natural and man-made hazards. He holds a BA in Environmental Sciences, and MS and PhD degrees in Food and Resource Economics, all from the University of Florida. Sergio has published articles on a range of topics including the economics of marine resources, the costs and management of biological invasions, and the value of ecosystem services such as clean water and outdoor recreation. Sergio has experience with econometrics, statistics, optimization, and survey research.

Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Darma Putra., M.Litt

Universitas Udayana

He is a professor in Indonesian literature at the Faculty of Arts, Udayana University, Bali, Indonesia. He obtained his Ph.D. from the School of Languages and Comparative Cultural Studies, University of Queensland, in 2003, where he took a postdoctoral program from 2007-2009. Apart from teaching literature and culture at Faculty of Arts, Darma Putra also teaches tourism subjects at Masters Program of Tourism and Doctoral Program of Tourism Udayana University. Darma had been the head of Masters Program of Tourism for four years, 2014- January 2018. His research interest includes Indonesian literature, Balinese literature, Balinese culture, tourism.

Prof. Dr-Phil. Janianton Damanik, M.Si

Universitas Gadjah Mada

He is a Professor at the Department of Social Development and Welfare of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Universitas Gadjah Mada and is also a lecturer in the Postgraduate Study Program for Sekolah Pasca Sarjana Universitas Gadjah Mada. He is actively researching the focus of community empowerment in tourism. The latest research in 2022, entitled Effects of perceived value, expectation, visitor management, and visitor satisfaction on revisit intention to Borobudur Temple, Indonesia.

Stephen Hood

VP, Research and Founding Director, STR SHARE Center

He is Senior Vice President of Research for SIR. He has been with STR for 27 vears and is the Founding Director of the SHARE Center. STR's program to support hospitalitv and tourism education with over 1.000 schools involved from 80 different countries. The STR SHARE Center provides hotel data for research and for use in the classroom as well as related resources including student certifications (the CHIA, obtained by over 35K, and the CAHTA), training programs, and student competitions. he serves on advisor boards and quest lectures for leading international hatal tourism and real actat schans and hac rorsivad coveral awarde for his commitment to hospitalty education.

Prof. Michael Hitchcock, BA Hons, DPhil

Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship, Goldsmiths, University of London

He is Professor in Cultural Policy and Tourism at Goldsmiths, University of London. He conducts practice-based work on cultural tourism and cultural heritage management, especially with regard to Asia. He took his doctorate at the Pitt Rivers Museum at the University of Oxford in 1983 based on his research and a practice-based project in eastern Indonesia. He also worked as a research assistant at the museum before going to conduct his fieldwork.
